how to create mandatory profiles ?

Hello,

I have 15 new machines at school with Win XP Home already installed. I want
to set up each computer the same way with a common user profile and
disabling cosmetic stuff, deleting unecessary files and install the same
software on each machine (IfranView, Open office etc.)
What is the easiest way not to have to do the same thing 15 times? Should I
create a profile, save it on a diskette for example and then copy it to each
one?
What about the software? If I create an image after setting one up , will I
have a problem with the XP activation?

I have heard that "mandatory profiles could help but I think they are only for XP Pro?
Would Microsoft's sysprep utility help me?
Anyone who has done this before will probably know and save me some time.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Armando

Microsoft's sysprep tool is good for Deploying operating system remotely,, your first mistake was purchasing XP home, but it is too late now,, I would suggest to install everything on one operating system first (DO NO ACTIVATE IT), then image all the other drives with the original one using Symantec Ghost, then connect one system at a time to your network and use the proper serial number to activate it.

I can't tell you that I have tried it and it works ,, but looking around the net ,, it seem like mandatory profiles is only possible on Windows XP pro.
