WUTemp folder question. Please read.
Hi,
By accident I placed one of my folder inside the WUTemp
folder, and now the WUTemp folder is empty.
There are no files on my recycle been.
Did I loose all the info on my folder?
Is there a way to restore that?
Thanks a lot for helping,
Skuba

Yes, WUTemp is win update stuff. But I don't think that system store will Undelete a folder inside that folder.
The WUTemp is a temp folder used by win update. I placed a real folder with work stuff in there. So I guess that when I turned offf the computer on friday, windows deleted everything in that folder.

Affecting? What do you mean?
What happened is that I placed an subfolder there by accident. I moved a work folder there instead of to another folder. And everything there was lost.

skuba, WUTemp stands for Windows Update Temporary file,, basically it is used to windows update, when you download a patch from MS site, it will pit it in there temporarily and after you reboot the system or download a new patch those files gets deleted (I thought you knew this much by I mentioned it again) now the question is what method of delete of Eraser Microsoft has used to delete the file, if the have shred the files then you would have a chance or recovery it but if the have delete the file in a chunk then some of the undelete programs i.e. http://www.data-recovery-software.net/ may help you out.
cheers
