Computer Hangs after Login

Hi,

Im using XP, my taskbar doesn't respond for 10-15mins and displays the egg timer icon.

While this is happening i can access my computer, and play mp3s etc.. but nothing works on the taskbar at all until it seems to re-activate itself and everything is ok again.

I tried Safe Mode and my taskbar was fine on startup..

here are the apps i am running on start up

DAP
Nero
MSN
updatewiz - this seems to be the windows update, when i disable it using MSConfig it enables itself again on reboot which lead me to think this might be the problem?

Any idea's would be very helpful

Post your entire MSCONFIG startup and services (less any M$ entries) lists. Let's take a look at what all is being loaded.

I'd say it's prolly either a program or a service that's bogging your system down atm, but it's hard to say.

If none of the above dont work del your profile and recreate it.
