Right-click saving with IE question - Solved

I frequently save pictures from the net by right-clicking and "save as". For the past few weeks, the only file type option available on the list is "bitmap". I have been choosing to email the pic and saving the attached pic in its original format, but this is a PITA.

I thought this was some unusual glitch in my computer and I don't have the savvy to go in and troubleshoot and fix this on my own, but I have seen it mentioned by a couple other folks on the net, so maybe it is not so uncommon.

Anyone have a piece of advice I can use so I can go back to right-clicking to save pictures in the original format? (I'm using XP Pro and IE version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633).

Thanks for any help.

p.s. In case this may be contributing - am also running Norton Internet security

Here's another one.

"Internet Explorer Saves Images As Bitmaps (.bmp Files)"
