WinXP Disk Defragmenter & NSW Speed Disk

Is NSW 2004 Speed Disk supposed to be used in conjuction with windows disk defragmenter? It seems that they are working against each other. Speed Disk will move data and then windows seems to move the data to another place. In turn, taking hours on end just to defrag or optimize my PC. What should be done?

not sure about the speed disk on the 2k4 norton, but all previous versions were death to xp. they cause file system corruption. it didnt happen all at once, it just makes the system slower and slower. then it crashes.

Norton is just plain bad news...

Anyway, I noticed the same thing in my deathly experience with Systemworks. The best advice I could give is to just use the default defragmenter with XP, or Diskeeper Pro, both of which are better.
