XP Pro problems please help
Hi everyone,
I have a minor problem with my XP pro and hope someone can help me.
Here is the problem:
I got a trojan virus. I search and delete it from my computer. After restarting my computer, the "Administrator" account magically appear on my welcome screen along with other users (accounts). The weird thing is I never set the "Administrator" account to be visible. Is there anything wrong with my computer? How can hide the "Administrator" account from the welcome screen? Please help me. Thanks in advance.

hope this helps
Open the registry tool, Start Run regedit. Go to hkey_local_machine, Software, Microsoft, Window NT, Current Version, Winlogon, SpecialAccounts, UserList.
From here you should see an option for Administrator, double click on it an change the SET VALUE =1 then click OK.

Try right clicking on "My Computer" and choosing "Manage." After that, you should see a User's category on the left, click that and there should be some option about the Administrator account available... I would find out exactly where to go for you, but I'm at work and all of these "management" tools are locked so us silly ignorant employees can't screw with it.
Hope that helps, and good luck!

If you don’t see it, create it:
Right-click UserList -> New -> DWORD Value -> name it Administrator -> set the value to 0.
Good Luck!

Thanks everyone for help.
I took the suggestion and creat the Administrator account in UserList and set it to zero. Now the Administrator account is gone from the welcome screen. Thanks everyone.
