How to delete one of two operating systems on one partitioned hard drive

Hello all

I recently fitted a new hard drive to my home pc ,this was my first time of course ,everything seemed to go acording to plan until i rebooted my pc it was asking me to select which operating system i was to boot from and gave me the option of 2 windows XP and 30 sec to choose which one . After trying to find out how to delete one of these extra operating systems i only managed to find out how to reduce the time before boot and to select which one i want to boot first, this is not a major problem but if there is anyone out there that can help me finaly get rid of this 2nd OS i would be a very happy man.
