Synchronization Problem

When synchronizing, I get error message:
"Offline Files (\\SERVER01\Users$ on SERVER01): Unable to merge offline changes on \\SERVER01\Users$. The parameter is incorrect.

I have tried to re-initialize the cache, but then I get error message:
"Cannot delete desktop.ini. The parameter is incorrect"

I have tried to move all files from "My Documents" to a temporary folder on C:\
Disabled offline files, rebooted
Re-enabled offline files, rebooted.
Moved all files back to "My Documents" and tried synchronizing.
But then i got the same error message as i was getting in the beginning.

I am out of ideas... what to do?

As usual, any help would be appreciated.
