that isnt the way i personally would go about this, if both versions of xp are installed on one drive, go to the C: drive, delete the folder for the one you dont want(it wont let you delete the one you are using) then go to start, run, type
msconfig
then click the boot.ini tab, then click check all boot paths. it will tell you one is not valid, click ok to let it fix it so you dont have to edit the boot.ini yourself. if they are on different partitions, open the drive the other is on and delete all that you dont want and then do the same steps on the msconfig.
