Re-Delete 1 of 2 operating systems off of my pc Windows xp

Hello all

I recently got instructions on how to delete 1 of 2 operating systems on 1 partitioned hard drive .I was instructed to go to command prompt and type in 'bootcfg/delete/ID# where # = which one i wanted to delete.When i entered this command on command prompt it keeps telling me 'bootcfg is not recognized as an internal or external command,operable program or batch file'.
Could anyone please tell me what i am doing wrong?

that isnt the way i personally would go about this, if both versions of xp are installed on one drive, go to the C: drive, delete the folder for the one you dont want(it wont let you delete the one you are using) then go to start, run, type
msconfig
then click the boot.ini tab, then click check all boot paths. it will tell you one is not valid, click ok to let it fix it so you dont have to edit the boot.ini yourself. if they are on different partitions, open the drive the other is on and delete all that you dont want and then do the same steps on the msconfig.
