Exclamation In Need Of Assistance!

I use windows xp professional. Every once in awhile, my computer will freeze either with a loud buzzing noise, or a blue screen.

What is the problem?
And how do I go about fixing it?

1. What error message are you getting on your blue screen?
2. Where is the buzzing sound coming from (your monitor or your computer tower)?
3. Could the buzzing sound be interpreted as a beeping sound?
4. What are the specs for your computer?

1) it says "disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing"

2) the buzzing sounds come from the speakers.

3) no the sound is like a on going high pitched sound. like a buzzer.

4) and i am not sure what the specs are.

Check Temps of the machine in the BIOS

Also it could be faulty memory.

When you turn on your computer you can press a button to get into the setup. It is usually the DEL button or F1 button.

Just switch on your computer and keep pressing DEL until the setup screen is displayed. You can then goto Something like Hardware Monitor and it should tell you the temp of your computer
