Random Reboot

Hi everyone,
This si my first post and I wanted to first off say hi to everyone. Recently my computer started rebooting on its own. I have recenlty installed Battlefield Vietnam, UT 2004 and and an older version of Catalyst drivers to get BFV to work. I am at a loss as to what could be causing it to randomly restart. Is there a program or some way to diagnose what has happened? I run chkdsk everytime and the errors are corrected if any. Another interseting thing that happens is the Windows has recovered from a serious error popup does not go away after the first click. It pops back up 3 or 4 more times before going away. I know this is pretty general but can anyone give me some type of direction to go in? My system specs are P4 2.23, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, Catalyst driver 3.9, WD 80gb HD, WD 20 GB HD, TDK 840g DVD-RW, HP 9100 CD-RW, 1GB (2x 512) PC2100 DDR RAM, WIN XP SP1 with the latest updates. I also am running Trend Micro Internet Security. Hope that was enough detail. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the welcome. I just rebooted my computer to see if the error message popup comes up. Just my luck it didn't. Where is the location of the error log so I can tell you exactly what the error message was? Or I can wait to see if a random reeboot will take place.

i would suggest reinstalling the latest catalyst drivers and try running bfv in compatibility mode, you can uninstall it, go to add/remove programs and add the program installing it in compatiblity mode for 98/me or go into the program folder and set it all to compatibility mode by right clicking the files select properties, then the compatibility tab.
