Printer Sharing

Now that I have "upgraded" to WinXP I am no longer able to share my printer (HP612c) that is connected to my XP machine with the other Win98 machines on my home network. The driver isn't listed in Win98 and installing from the CD or download doesn't help.

Carefully reinstall the driver and software.
If the Network is working then there is no reason why the Printer shouldn’t work

Install the driver from the XP machine (printers/sharing).

Here is the answer that worked:

"Load the printer driver on your Win98 machine, pretend the printer is connected to lpt1. When its setup right click the printer and select properties, details, and where it says "lpt1" enter the path to your xp share ie \\XPMachine\HP610."
