Saving Files in XP

When saving picture files, the files in the folder Im saving to do not show up in the save window. I have a massive collection of Formula 1 pics and I like to browse a couple of folders to see which I want to save a pic to, but now I cant with XP anymore, because I cant see whats in the folder Im saving to!

Browse to the folder then right click > view > thumbnails

The image files are stil not showing up. Any other ideas?

If you are trying to save a new file type to the folder it won't show the images in the folder itself. So if all your images thus far have been jpgs and you try to save it as a gif, the folder will appear empty when you attempt the save. Could that be the issue?!
