Troubleshooting Memory Resource Conflicts
This type of problem is rarely fixable. When you fix a new AGP card on an old AGP 1.0 slot, you might get memory resource conflicts. This would show up when you install the video card’s display drivers. Try changing the memory addresses assigned through either the BIOS or Device Manager under Windows. If you are successful in getting the card to work, then you’ve been lucky! Typically, your only solution would be opt for a card that is compatible with your slot.
