Troubleshooting No Sound Problems with Games
If sound works fine in Windows, but you get nothing from games, its quite possible that game has compatibility issues with your sound card, or simply that something’s wrong with your DirectX drivers (which you need for playing DirectX-based games). Reinstall the latest version of DirectX and check again. If you still face problems, start the DirectX diagnostic tool by navigating to Start > Run, typing in “dxdiag” and pressing [Enter]. The diagnostic tool will test the sound on your system and will tell you exactly what’s wrong.
