Troubleshooting No Sound from audio CDs
If you can’t hear music from your audio CDs, it’s probably because you haven’t enabled digital audio from your CD/DVD drive. To do this, go to the Device Manager: Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager. Right-click on your CD/DVD drive and choose Properties. Under the Properties tab, make sure that “Enable digital CD Audio for this CD-ROM device” is checked.
