Troubleshooting skips and distortions in Streaming audio

Streaming audio is extremely prone to skips and distortions, depending on the speed of your Internet connection. So unless you have a really fast connection, close applications such as download accelerators, P2P applications, etc., while you are listening to Internet radio.

If you’re trying to stream an audio file, hit Pause on your media player, let the file download completely, and then click play.
