How to show network icon in the taskbar (system tray)
If you can’t see the network icon in the system tray, it’s only because it isn’t set to be displayed. By default, the system tray network icon is not enabled in certain Windows versions. To enable the system icon, go to Control Panel > Network Connection > Local Area Connection, right-click your LAN connection and select Properties. Check “Show icon in notification area when connected”.
