  Lotus Organizer

Default Startup File
Using the Organizer preferences, you can instruct the program to automatically open a particular preferred file when you launch Organize. Click on File > User Setup > Organizer Preferences. Under the Default File tab, enable the automatically open option. Browse to locate the default file and click OK.

Better Sound
To change the default tune for the alarm in organizer, click on File > User Setup > Organizer Preferences. Under the Environment tab, choose the desired tune from the Favorite alarm tune drop-down list.

Tick, Tick, Tick
To alter the time increments in the Daily view schedule, click on View, Calendar Preferences and choose an appropriate increment value.

In Sync
It is extremely simple to update a copy of your Organizer file. you can merge the changes made on one document into another. click on File > Open to open the target file. now click on File > Merge and open the source file. Select the appropriate options and click on Merge to execute.

Drag-and-Drop Dexterity
You can use the Drag and Drop functionality by dragging the entries within Organizer onto the Toolbox and drop them onto the clipboard, printer or the phone icons to copy, print or to dial the entry.

Customize your screen
To personalize your Organizer screen, click on Selection > Customize. Click on the book tab and choose the color for your binder. You can also choose a Picture from the Sections tab.

Alarm Actions
The Organizer alarm can be used to automatically launch an application at a desired time. In the Alarm Dialog (when creating or editing an appointment), click on Browse to locate the file to be launched. This path appears in the Start field.

Corrupted File
If by quirk of fate you mess up your Organizer file and you want to restore it, then the first thing to do is to compact the File. First close the file from the File menu. Next choose File > Compact.
