Document on a Diet
You can reduce the file size of WordPro documents by clicking on File > User
Setup > Word Pro Preferences. Ensure that you Small File Format is unchecked in
the Disable pill down list and click on OK.
Change Line Spacing
To change the spacing between lines within a document, click on Text > Text
Properties > Alignment. Select the desired line spacing template from the Line
Spacing drop down menu and click OK. You can also alter the paragraph spacing
from the Text Properties box.
Bully Bullets
You can alter appearances of bullets from Text > Text Properties. change the
bullet properties from the Bullets tab, You can also change your bullet fonts by
clicking on the Font Button.
Add/Use Glossary Entries
You can store frequently used phrases in a glossary entry. to crease such an
entry, select the text and click on Edit > Glossary. Type a name for the entry
in the Glossary enter name box and click Create. To use this entry, click on
edit > Glossary, select the entry you wish to insert and click on Insert.
Customize Toolbars
You can customize toolbars to show only the icons you use frequently. Click on
File > User Setup > SmartIcons Setup. Here, select the toolbar you want to
customize and drag the icons to the position you want to display them in.
Easy Envelopes
If you want an envelop pronto, click on Care > Envelope. you can enter the Send
To and Return addresses by clicking on the respective buttons.
Fix Unintended Caps with SmartCorrect
SmartCorrect helps you by automatically replacing any unintended upper case
letter by the lower case letter. This can be activated or deactivated from Edit
> SmartCorrect. Check or uncheck the Correct TWo INitial Capitals check box to
enable or disable the deature.
Expand Abbreviations with SmartCorrect
Using SmartCorrect you can enlist a set of abbreviations that are automatically
replaced by a full word or phrase. Click on Edit > SmartCorrect. Add an entry by
clicking on Add Entry and feeding the details in the Abbreviations and
Replacement boxes.
View Multiple Pages
You can view more than one page of the document together. Click on View > Page
Sorter. This will enable display of multiple pages at once. click on View >
Layout for the layout view again. Alternatively, you an also click on View >
Zoom To > other. Enable View to show multiple pages and select the number of
pages you want to display.
