Adware.DAP - Download Accelerator Plus
It is a download accelerator product for Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, and Opera Web browsers.
Functions as a media viewer and FTP browser and allows the user to install games.
Installs a toolbar and browser helper object into the browser that tracks visited sites, downloads, search queries, etc.
Downloads ads to be displayed in your program window, your Internet Explorer toolbar, and through pop-up type advertising.
Manual removal:
Navigate to the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and delete the value: "DownloadAccelerator"="%ProgramFiles%\DAP\DAP.EXE /STARTUP" |
