Speed up mouse motion

Speed up mouse motion
A way to fix this, on most options, has a little choice under the mouse speed. Go to Control Panel>Mouse. Click on Pointer Options, and then you will see a bar. The first bar is the motion speed. Under that, "Enhance Pointer Precision," is shown, uncheck that and see how much faster your mouse will go.

Turning off Enhance Pointer Precision sucks dirt. It's like trying to drive a car that only goes at 50mph... I see this tip all over the net... but is there actually a way to make the mouse go faster and still have precision? This is only an issue now because I am using a 19" monitor at a high resolution, and getting the mouse from one part of the screen to another is a real chore. My mouse pad is not big enough!

If you can't use the fastest mouse speed without precision, you shouldn't be allowed near a computer again. Only a god damn idiot or someone with severe cerebal palsy would have to use the precision option.

this article really eats monkey jism. Why didn't he just say, 'Want a faster mouse? Grease the underside with a little butter'

Works fine here. With enhanced precision turned on the pointer really slows down os it's worth turning off to get a bit of extra speed and it's not as if it's needed anyway.
