Remove Windows Version from Desktop

1.Click on "Start", then "Run.." and type "regedit".
2.Navigate to the registry key:
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop".
3.Once there, locate the DWORD value "PaintDesktopVersion".
4.Right click on it and select Modify.
-Value equal to "0" removes Windows version from desktop.
-Value equal to "1" adds Windows version to desktop.
5.Reboot your computer.

    I hsve tried this.. it is set to 0, but it still remains.. Please emsil me answer if you have another one.. Thank you.

    This is how to remove it. The best way. Rightclick on an empty space on your desktop -> Properties -> Desktop Settings -> webb then choose to lock all objects on desktop and the text to the right will disappear.
