Disable desktop screen savers

Disable desktop screen savers

If you disable this setting, screen savers do not run. Also, this setting disables the Screen Saver section of the Screen Saver tab in Display in Control Panel. As a result, users cannot change the screen saver options.

START > RUN > GPEDIT.MSC > USER CONFIGURATION > ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES > CONTROL PANEL > DISPLAY > FIND SCREENSAVER > RIGHT CLICK PROPERTIES > CLICK DISABLE > OK

    The only other option I had found was a complicated change in the registry which I am not up to tackling.

    very awesome and clear straight guide, and i really agree with the person below, Microsft should learn how to many things simple and easy to understand, no complication.

    It was the wisest solution I have so far found, but it does make it seem impossible to enable the screen saver once again. Which once I find the restart screen saver then I can try them both. In watching a movie I was advised to disable screen saver so there would be no interruptions in the movie. So I will give further info in the case of disabling screen savor and enabling it when you are ready for it. Thank you for now. Ms. Debbie
