Internet Explorer Shortcuts

When Accessing a Website or Document:

F1 = Help

F11 = Full Screen

Tab = Switch between items on the page

Shift-Tab = Switch between items on the page backwards

Alt-Home = Go to your homepage

Alt-Right Arrow = Next

Alt-Left Arrow = Back

Alt-Backspace = Back

Backspace = Back

Shift-F10 = Display the shortcut menu for a link

Up Arrow = Scroll up

Down Arrow = Scroll down

Page Up = Scroll up really fast

Page Down = Scroll down really fast

Home = Go to the beginning of a document or webpage

End = Go to the end of a document or webpage

Ctrl-F = Search the page

F5 = Refresh

Ctrl-R = Refresh

Ctrl-F5 = SuperRefresh (Refreshes the page even if no changes have been made to the site since you last accessed it)

Escape = Stop loading a page

Ctrl-0 = Go to a new location

Ctrl-L = Go to a new location

Ctrl-N = New Window

Ctrl-W = Close Window

Ctrl-S = Save

Ctrl-P = Print

Enter = Activate a selected hyperlink

Ctrl-E = Search

Ctrl-I = Favorites

Ctrl-H = History

Ctrl-X = Cut

Ctrl-C = Copy

Ctrl-V = Paste

Ctrl-A = Select All

 When In Print Preview:

Alt-P = Set printing options then print the page

Alt-U = Change paper, headers and footers, orientation, and margins for this page
Alt-Home = Display the first page to be printed
Alt-Right Arrow = Display the next page to be printed
Alt-Left Arrow = Display the previous page to be printed
Alt-A = Type in how many pages you want printed
Alt-Minus = Zoom out

Alt-Plus = Zoom in

Alt-Z = Access a list of zoom percentages

Alt-C = Close Print Preview

 When Typing An Address Into The Address Bar:

Alt-A = Select all the text in the address bar

Alt-D = Select all the text in the address bar

F4 = Access a list of the addresses you have typed into the address bar in the past

Ctrl-Enter = Add www. to the beginning of the text you typed into the address bar and .com to the end of the text you typed

Up Arrow = Move forward through the list of autocomplete matches

Down Arrow = Move backwards through the list of autocomplete matches

 Managing Favorites:

Ctrl-D = Add the current page to your favorites

Ctrl-B = Access the Organize Favorites window

Alt-Up Arrow = Move the selected item up in the Organize Favorites window

Alt-Down Arrow = Move the selected item down in the Organize Favorites window

    Note: PgUp and PgDn do not "scroll up/down, really fast". More accurately, they navigate up/down a webpage roughly a "screen page" at a time.

    Alt+A/D does not work for selecting all text in Address Bar. With that said, cheerio!
